Venues
We have three beautiful venues for you to choose from for your special day. Whether you choose the magnificent Guest Hall, the intimate space of the Courtyard Restaurant or the idyllic Hulne Abbey, your wedding will truly be one to remember.
Guest Hall
The magnificent Guest Hall is available all year and is the largest of our three venues, with space for up to 180 guests for civil ceremonies as well as receptions.
The historic atmosphere of this stunning banqueting hall, with its beautifully restored beamed roof and stone archways, has been carefully maintained whilst also incorporating a contemporary feel.
Whether you celebrate with a sumptuous feast or with drinks and delicious canapés, this is a flexible space which can accommodate all aspects of your special day.
Courtyard Restaurant
Set within the historic surroundings of the castle walls, the Courtyard Restaurant is the perfect venue for more intimate celebrations.
A reception in the Courtyard Restaurant perfectly complements a ceremony held in the majestic Guest Hall, allowing you and your guests to soak up the exceptional atmosphere with decadent menus featuring the best of local produce, expertly prepared by our talented chefs.
Hulne Abbey
Hulne Abbey is a remarkable wedding venue, available for exclusive use thanks to the permission of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.
An enchanting part-ruined monastery situated in the neighbouring Hulne Park, the Abbey is perfect for couples looking for an idyllic country location for a more private fairytale wedding.
The ornate rooms provide an atmospheric setting for your ceremony and the grounds are a tranquil hideaway for a marquee-based wedding feast. Alternatively, your ceremony and drinks can be held in the stunning medieval surroundings of the Abbey before moving on to a sumptuous indoor reception in Alnwick Castle’s magnificent Guest Hall.
This exclusive wedding venue is available from March to September, but would be perfect for a summer marquee reception or relaxed barbecue for up to 500 guests.
