Longbow Demonstrations

29 Apr - 01 May 2017
21 Aug - 24 Aug 2017

Free with admission

The English longbow determined the outcome of many medieval battles, used to deadly effect most famously in the Battle of Agincourt. Alnwick Castle's own Harry 'Hotspur' Percy is thought to have been killed by an arrow from a longbow in the Battle of Shrewsbury in 1403!

We are therefore delighted to welcome a master archer to Alnwick Castle, to demonstrate the medieval skill of archery with a traditional longbow.

If you're feeling inspired, why not then have a go yourself with our own archery experts?

This event is free with admission, check times and location on arrival.
