In this special Christmas edition of our fine dining evenings at Alnwick Castle, experience a decadent four-course meal meticulously prepared by our resident Head Chef and his brigade.  

Dinner is served in the enchanting surroundings of The Courtyard Restaurant, beautifully refurbished for 2019.

Curried pumpkin soup served with a lentil pakora
Seared Shetland king scallops with cauliflower puree, black pudding bonbon and a veal jus
Venison carpaccio with parsnip puree, beets and an oyster emulsion
Red onion & goats cheese tarte tatin with a balsamic glaze


Local wild pheasant ballotine served with creamed savoy cabbage, smoked bacon and potato & almond croquette
Braised Daube beef served with smoked potato puree, kale and salt baked carrot
Pan fried cod loin served with Welsh rarebit and mussel & clam chowder
Whole butter roasted cauliflower heart served with black truffle, smoked cheese and chive gnocchi


Apple & prune sticky toffee pudding with calvados ice cream and caramel sauce
Chocolate & salted caramel tart served with popcorn ice cream and a sesame brittle
Baileys crème brûlée served with pistachio biscotti


Served with artisan biscuits, grapes, apple, plum chutney and le scoux butter
