Alnwick Castle is one of the largest and most iconic tourist attractions in the North East. The castle brings employment, education and a broader economic base to this rural area.

Most jobs at Alnwick Castle involve dealing with visitors, or potential visitors, and we are dedicated to the highest standards of customer service. We are all ambassadors for the castle. Attitude and aptitude can be more important than lots of experience, and in some roles we can offer real flexibility - there are opportunities for people with all kinds of needs.

Marketing Manager
Full time, permanent
Salary dependent on experience

Alnwick Castle is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and creative Marketing Manager to develop and deliver the castle’s annual marketing strategy, including multimedia campaigns, printed marketing materials, and website development.

The ideal candidate will have a range of proven marketing experience, ideally in the leisure or heritage sector. The successful applicant will develop the castle’s brand messaging to raise its profile regionally and nationally, and work collaboratively with sales departments to meet budgetary targets.

Education Officer
Initial 12 month contract
Salary dependent on experience

Alnwick Castle is looking for a confident and creative communicator to lead and develop the castle's education programme.

The ideal candidate will ideally be educated to degree level, with knowledge of the heritage sector and the national curriculum, ideally with a degree in heritage education or a PGCE.

The successful applicant will devise and lead the delivery of workshops, and motivate and train staff to provide an excellent experience for schools. They will work collaboratively with sales and marketing departments to increase the quantity and quality of visits.
