Most jobs at Alnwick Castle involve dealing with visitors, or potential visitors, and we are dedicated to the highest standards of customer service. We are all ambassadors for the castle. Chef

Contract: Seasonal (March-October 2014), 0 hour contract
Wage: Exceeds national minimum wage

Description:

  • Previous experience in a busy catering environment preferred
  • To assist senior chefs in daily running of the kitchen
  • To attend all training set out by the company
  • To maintain strict health and safety standards and legislation
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Duties will mainly include making a large volume of fresh sandwiches to a high quality, making fresh pizzas, cooking on a large BBQ on hot days, and cleaning and organising the kitchen

Fish & Chip Shop Fryer/Supervisor

Contract: Seasonal (March-October 2014), 0 hour contract
Wage: Exceeds national minimum wage

Description:

  • Previous experience of working a range in a busy fish and chip environment required
  • To work alongside catering team and head chef to develop a new outlet within an already established business
  • Duties to include working fryers and supervising two other members of staff in a busy fish and chip outlet
  • To clean and maintain brand new equipment
  • To comply to strict health and safety standards and legislation
  • To attend all training set out by the company
  • To follow orders and report to catering managers
