An Evening of Food History with Ivan Day

Join us for an unforgettable evening to explore, discover and even taste the history of food at Alnwick Castle. 

The evening begins at 6pm, with exclusive out-of-hours access to Alnwick Castle’s Great Kitchen. 

At 7pm, join us in the Guest Hall for a brand-new lecture by internationally renowned food historian Ivan Day, 'Catering for a King and Queen'. See our event page for a full description. 

Following the talk, you will be treated to a selection of delicious bitesize samples inspired by the historic menus in Alnwick Castle’s archives, including those described by Ivan, specially prepared by the Castle’s current head chef Matt Carroll.
