The Guest Hall & Courtyard at Alnwick Castle

With its soaring ceilings, historic architecture, and dramatic sense of occasion, the Guest Hall provides an exceptional setting for wedding breakfasts, evening receptions, and formal celebrations. The hall combines centuries of history with the flexibility needed to create a celebration that feels entirely personal. Candlelit dining, live music, speeches, and dancing all sit naturally within the space, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and unforgettable. The Guest Hall accommodates up to 180 guests for banquet dining and 102 guests in a cabaret layout, with flexible arrangements available throughout your wedding celebrations.

Directly opposite the castle, Bailiffgate Hotel provides 48 elegant rooms for couples and their wedding guests to stay right next to the castle. With its own private dining spaces for intimate pre-wedding or post-wedding gatherings, and a charming courtyard for outdoor gatherings, Bailiffgate Hotel is the natural companion to a wedding at Alnwick Castle.

The Motte & Bailey Restaurant can be booked for exclusive use, subject to availability, with an option to reserve a more private section at the end of the restaurant for up to 28 guests, offering views over the castle. The wider restaurant can accommodate larger groups when booked in full. The hotel is available to book directly for accommodation and room hire.

Together, Bailiffgate Hotel and Alnwick Castle create a seamless wedding experience, allowing couples and their guests to fully enjoy the celebrations while staying within the heart of Alnwick.
