Northumbrian Pipers
Over the course of the two weekends we have the pleasure of the sound of Northumbrian Pipes in the State Rooms and Great Kitchen.
Hear Andrew Davison, the Duke of Northumberland's Piper or Andrew Lawrenson, Deputy Piper to the Duke. Both performing at intervals through the day.
Traditional music from the Northumbrian Pipes is marked by lively tunes such as reels, jigs, and hornpipes, as well as slower airs and variation sets unique to the region’s folk tradition.
